The Regional Center for Workforce Excellence (RCWE) serves as an intermediary organization that facilitates the development, training, and preparation of the region’s workforce to meet the current and future needs of Northwest Pennsylvania through the guidance of the Northwest PA Workforce Investment Board (NWPA WIB). RCWE strives to achieve a dynamic workforce by focusing efforts on customer service and strong partnerships with the economic development, business, education, and government sectors. One of the main focuses of the RCWE is the application, distribution, and oversight of federal and state grant money for incumbent and dislocated worker training for the Northwest Workforce Investment Area (NW WIA). Other focuses include introducing youth in the region to industry clusters, chartering CareerLink locations, and connecting similar businesses together in industry partnerships to promote economic growth.
