Food Processing Industry Partnership
The Food Processing IP supports regional processors in remaining competitive with national food suppliers by promoting incumbent worker training, assimilating new processing technologies, developing regional purchasing networks, and recruiting new employees. Strategic priorities of the partnership are assisting in workforce training in such critical production arenas as food handling and storage, new product development, wastewater treatment, information management, and energy conservation. The IP also develops public awareness of the benefits of regionally grown and processed foods, and solidifies relationships with regional growers.
