NWPA CareerLink® provides individuals assistance in finding and/or transferring jobs, sourcing skills training, developing resumes, and pursuing vocational rehabilitation services. Job seekers can create a profile with the Commonwealth Workforce Development System (CWDS) enabling them to search job openings, apply online, review business profiles, enroll for recruitment events, apply for health and human services, and access related career assistance services. NWPA CareerLink® also sponsors Rapid Response events to provide immediate remedial action to announcements of employer closings, layoffs, or relocations. Regional offices also provide Trade Adjustment Allowance (TAA) funding for workers dislocated by overseas competition. Services include income support, job search allowances, relocation allowances, and health coverage tax credits.
