NWPA Healthcare Industry Partnership
With over 62,000 workers, healthcare is one of the top three employers in the region. The NWPA HIP focuses on facilitating communications among employers and training resources, compiling and distributing demographic data, coordinating training programs with state agencies and non-government workforce development organizations, and promoting awareness among secondary school students, displaced employees, and career counselors. Approximately 78 employers, 23 economic institutions, and 14 economic development organizations participate in the partnership, and more than 2,200 healthcare workers have been trained through its programs.
